The German Automaker Mercedes is beta-testing ChatGPT in over 900,000 vehicles equipped with Mercedes-Benz's MBUX infotainment system.
This natural language processing tool, driven by AI technology, allows drivers to engage in conversations and give voice commands to the chatbot for various tasks, all while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
The program is expected to last three months, with the findings being used to enhance the voice assistant and plan the rollout strategy for large language models in more markets and languages. Mercedes is even exploring the possibility of integrating ChatGPT with third-party services, enabling tasks like restaurant reservations and movie ticket bookings using natural speech commands.
Mercedes is really stepping up its game!
